Pride and Glory
Good film so far was going to go to sleep and by fluke put this on some local station as it was starting.

How've I never heard of it I love me some war films?

Proper British film its a bit like Zulu.

One thing I have to credit my old man for is he didn't show me shitty films though he always had shit loads of VHS in his house and Scarface Goodfellas To Live and Die in LA and Zulu were what I grew up on and watched as a kid a lot but never saw this.

Recommend some more films like this cheers might be a few others I haven't seen.

Yes, Hope and Glory is a great film.

The film about the London schoolgirls obsessing over Spurs in the early 1960s is called "Those Glory Glory Days" and features a cameo by Danny Blanchflower I think.

The old Grandad George in Hope & Glory is one of my fav characters ever...

`What can you do with four daughters? I asked myself - Four daughters! A string quartet was all I could come up with`.

`Ohhh, it's only a house...a ghastly one at that. They should all be burned and bombed and the builder hanged`.

My old man loved that film. He said it used to bring back great memories as he was about the same age as the kid. Running around the bomb sites "smashing things up"

Love watching it as it reminds me of him...watched it a few times since he died just over a year ago now

The Pride and glory with Ed Norton that's distinctly average? Or is there another pride and glory that I'm not aware of?
